Our Political Science class has recently been studying race and politics. A quotation by Arthur Ashe really stuck with me. He said he thought affirmative action was unnecessary because it actually ended up hurting those it was intended to help. What are your feelings on Arthur Ashe's comment and affirmative action in general? Laura Dunlap Answer: I knew Arthur Ashe personally and I strongly believe he would change his opinion were he alive today. I believe affirmative action is necessary to preserve equality for all races in the work place.

Bob Chapman- As a congressman, do you still believe in disobeying an unjust law? Answer: Yes, I always have and always will. You should never ever bow down to the social pressures of others.
