Herndon High World II students visited the Embassy of Saudi Arabia in the autumn of 1998. After being graciously welcomed by the Saudi officials the students were shown a video on the history of Saudi Arabia. After that, a question and answer session ensued. Topics discussed included Saudi politics, their criminal justice system, their oil wealth, religious freedom issues, how Muslims are presented in the American media, their point of view regarding the Arab-Israeli conflict and the Persian Gulf War, the culture of Saudi Arabia and many more. It was a fascinating experience for the HHS students!
