Herndon High Government Students Capitol Hill Field Trip
Students visited the Capitol including the Rotunda, Statuary Hall, House of Representatives Gallery, Senate Gallery, the Supreme Court and visited with Rep. Jose Serrano. Above Monica, Becky, Virginia, Ana, Antonia, Maegan, Dale, Rebecca, Anthony, Kaung and Riyad. The visit took place on March 6, 2012.

Rep. Jose Serrano- What you students need to know is that when you hear people criticizing the United States, whether it's Democrats or Republicans, that's ok, that's politics. But when you see nations like Egypt, Libya and Syria having revolutions they are indirectly saying "we want to be like you." Why do they want to be like us? Because we are the greatest nation on the face of the Earth.
